It is time to make things happen.
Everyone is an entrepreneur, managing their talents and skills, their time and priorities, their knowledge and experience, their success and failure, their fears, worries and cares, their daily turmoil, their courage and their perseverance. At a time when the past can no longer be updated, we need the talents and virtues that were necessary before this past existed. We have to go back to the beginning, every day, and find new answers to the questions that we thought were answered. More and more people are living to be one hundred years old, tourists are flying into space, social systems are collapsing, negative stereotypes are failing to hold up, our pensions are not safe, medicine will soon be able to cure everything but we won’t be able to afford it, the academics are sitting in their ivory towers, mobile phones are smarter than ever, our most experienced workers are sent into early retirement, the next generation is growing up outside the family in many cases, and mankind’s vast store of knowledge is exploding.
Welcome to the present.
Never before have individuals had more opportunities, and never before has society been under greater threat from advancing individualism. It is time to stop delegating responsibility to the state, to organizations or the church. We have to get involved and help to shape the future ourselves. For us and for others. Only then will it hold more opportunities than risks. Only then will our country have more entrepreneurs than sceptics. More winners than losers in the process of change. More shapers of the future than custodians in the competition for resources. It’s time to act. Everyone can be an entrepreneur of their life.
