No longer broke
The Frankfurter Rundschau reports on how the Swiss financial investor Cukierman Rasenberger Toschek rescued the Fulda candle maker Eika
Frankfurter Rundschau by Peter Dietz
“For the 180 employees of candle maker Eika, Christmas came in May. The well-established company from Fulda was bankrupt and no longer solvent. At the last minute, just as operations were about to be shut down, Swiss financial investor Cukierman Rasenberger Toschek (CRT) rescued it and kept production going …
Despite the threat of insolvency, not one customer was lost, says Peter Rasenberger, CEO of CRT. First of all, his company supplied Eika with funds to buy raw materials to make the candles. And because its competitors also had supply difficulties, the company’s Christmas business went surprisingly well.
No staff had to be laid off, according to Rasenberger.”
